Guest Speaker: Darryl Burton

****
How does someone find peace and forgiveness after being wrongfully imprisoned for 24 years? You won’t want to miss Bob and Wendy’s “Wednesday Night Alive” class on October 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the Downtown Sanctuary. The special guest speaker will be Darryl Burton, who was in prison from 1984-2009 on a charge of capital murder. He spent many of those days in the prison law library, dedicated to proving his innocence. However, it wasn’t until he allowed Christ into his life that he began to experience a change. Darryl discovered that anger and hate can be another prison, and that Jesus said we must love our enemies, pray for them, and forgive them. Darryl was exonerated in 2008, and is now an associate pastor at Church of the Resurrection in Kansas City. You will be inspired through his powerful message of “Hope and Forgiveness” through adversity. This event will be live streamed to the Edmond Campus Worship Center. Visit darrylburton.org to learn more.
