If someone is described as “booksmart”, the implication is that they know facts, but struggle with common sense. Wisdom is the ability to make knowledge applicable to the world in which we live. The Bible talks about the importance of wisdom and the difference it can make to the world in addition to our own lives. The Book of Proverbs has numerous passages that give practical advice and enhance our wisdom. Knowledge is power, but there is more to life; we want wisdom that makes a difference.
