Your children could attend all kinds of camps this summer. Why not make it fun and meaningful?

“I’ve seen this camp make a huge difference in the lives of kids and adults.”

That’s how Susan Easttom, Director of Children’s Ministry, describes two upcoming children’s camps that are centered on the Christian faith.

“SonShine” Camp – designed for 1st and 2nd graders, will take place on July 22-23 at Canyon Camp in Hinton, OK. They will enjoy hiking, swimming, crafts, and active learning in small groups under the caring and watchful eye of group leaders called “Shepherds.”

“It’s based upon our faith,” Susan said. “That’s the whole premise of it. This is a Jesus camp.”

For 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders – there is “Growin’ In Grace” Camp – also at Canyon Camp in Hinton – from July 17-19. These older elementary children will enjoy hiking, swimming, recreation and crafts – but also have interactive small group learning and creative worship.

Susan says it’s an opportunity for them to experience God’s love by building relationships with new friends.

“It not only makes them more mature in their faith, it brings them closer to God.  It’s neat to see kids from all over Oklahoma come together.  It’s God working in their lives.”

Register online at okcamps.org before April 30 for an early-bird special price of $59 for SonShine Camp (regular price is $79), and $167 for Growin’ In Grace Camp (regular price $187). Parents are encouraged to attend.
