Margaret Whittemore led our class this morning and chose the topic of forgiveness. Later this summer we’ll use Adam Hamilton’s teachings on this subject so this was just an introduction.
What comes to mind when we hear the word forgiveness? Can we forgive and forget? Can we forgive Kevin Durant for going to Golden State? Are the 6 most important words I am sorry and I forgive you? It’s impossible to live without hurt, rejection, and being lied to and our journey in our faith includes finding the proper response to those events. To forgive is to wipe the slate clean and we forgive because God forgives us.
