I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:2

“Just trust in the Lord and you will be okay.” Uncle Lyndel

In certain times of our lives, it seems like everything happens at once. We begin to lose our friends through change or age; jobs come and go; spouses begin to see life differently and we no longer work toward the same goals. Living life is not easy.

Every day I remind myself how deeply blessed I am. Just because I do not live the life I would choose doesn’t mean that I am not cognizant of the amazing life I am living. I sincerely thank God every day for clean water, for my beautiful sisters (who have saved my life many times over), for the ability to work at an amazing job in God’s House. Even in the midst of my doubts and insecurities, I know God is with me. He is on my side. He is for me and if He is for me, who can stand against me!

A practiced and sincere attitude of gratitude reminds me that God is standing right beside me. He guides me to look at things in a big way. He reminds me to remember Who He Is—bigger than any problem I encounter, always there for me when I want to give up completely. He reminds me that I can make a positive difference in this world even when I don’t know I’m doing it, because I want Him to work through me. I am so very grateful to God for His love and support.
