Class Description: Methodism is the Christian movement founded by John Wesley in the 1700’s. One hallmark of Methodism is that it doesn’t believe any one person or group has all the truth; it chooses to “think and let think.” Rather than ascribing to a certain set of doctrine, the goal is to follow the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. St. Luke’s embodies Methodism in its focus on the direction of Christ to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. Join Dr. Bob Long, Rev. Wendy Lambert, and Rev. Josh Attaway as they look at the bright future of St. Luke’s as it lives out the heart of Methodism when it shares God’s love and brings hope to the world.
