Bible Point – Jesus came to save us.
Key Verse: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
God wants us to focus on and worship Him with our whole hearts (John 2:13-22). Strengthen your family’s faith learning and growth at home with this easy idea:
1. Talk about a time you or your family was in trouble or in danger. Share how you were saved from danger and who rescued you.
2. Talk about how that situation was similar to or different from how Jesus provided a way to save us when he came to earth to die for our sin.
3. Talk about how we can know they will live forever with God in heaven. (Not sure how to do this? Check out some of the following verses: Romans 3:23; 5:8; 6:23; and 10:9)
PRAYER:
God, thank you for sending Jesus to die on the cross to save us from our sin. We believe in you and trust that we’ll live forever in heaven with you because of what Jesus did for us. In Jesus’ name, amen.
