Bible Point: We can serve God anywhere

God used Joseph to make a difference and that God wants us to serve him, too (Genesis 39:20–41:49). Strengthen your family’s faith learning and growth at home with this easy idea:
Talk about a time God used someone in your life to encourage you or help you at just the right time. Maybe a friend called when you desperately needed to talk, or someone felt called by God to help you with a flat tire.
- Talk with your kids about what it takes to be ready to serve God in the lives of the people around you. Encourage each person to share ways they’d like to serve God in the future.
- Then talk about any upcoming difficult decisions each family member might be facing. Encourage each other in doing the right thing.
PRAYER
God, we want You to use us to make a difference. Help us recognize the times in our lives You’re asking us to step out and serve You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
