So today I drove to the area around Tahlequah to pick my son up from cross country camp. The campground was quite remote – I’m pretty sure if Bigfoot exists, I was driving in his stomping grounds. I noticed that I didn’t have cell service at several times and so I was uncertain as to my location. I was surrounded by thick forest and it seemed full of shadows.
Once I found that I was on the right road and near the campground, the very same forest seemed to change. After picking up Brooks the area became much more inviting. Rather than seeing the shadows, I noticed the light dancing through the trees. It all seemed so much more beautiful than it had when I felt lost in an unfamiliar area.
Life can seem foreboding and dark when you don’t know where you are going. But everything can change when you find your way and have a great traveling companion. Spend time in devotional and prayer so that you know where you’re going and you deepen your relationship with God. It makes the journey so much better!
