Worship Service Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers help make worship possible at St. Luke’s on Sunday mornings. There are several ways to help serve on Sunday before, during, or after your worship service.
- Worship Support Team - Downtown Campus
This team provides behind-the-scenes support for all worship services. Volunteers run the sound equipment, cameras, slides, and video.

Downtown Edmond- Audio/Visual Volunteers - Edmond Campus
The goal for AV volunteers is to help create an experience where people can encounter God’s presence in worship without any distractions. Volunteers enhance the worship experience for the congregation with the use of video screens, lights, and music.
As a volunteer, you will operate computer to provide slides and videos on screens for the congregation, adjust lights on the stage from the lighting board, run remote cameras for online worship and occasionally assist with set up/tear down of A/V equipment.
If you are able to follow flow of service and have basic knowledge of computer operations, you will be a great addition to this team. You do NOT need any previous knowledge of sound, lighting, or worship software. The Communications Team will provide you with full training for video presentation and camera operation. A member of the team will be present with you in the sound booth.

Edmond- Worship Transition Volunteers - Edmond Campus
Volunteers help to create a beautiful place of worship for everyone who comes to St. Luke’s Edmond by cleaning up trash in the aisles and rows between services, moving instruments and equipment on and off the stage to transition from the LifeLight service to the Traditional service, and refilling cups of pens, envelopes, and other items in the seats before the Traditional service. Worship leaders and the pastors will be available between services to assist and offer instruction.
Time Commitment: 10:15-11 a.m. on Sundays.

You could serve in many ways, such as providing or having lunch with youth, serving as a confirmation mentor, teaching a Youth Bible study, or simply being present as an adult volunteer at youth activities and trips.Volunteers should have an active mind and body to interact with teenagers, love God and have a passion for helping teenagers be in relationship with God and others, and be ready to have fun with teenagers and relate to what they are going through in life. Volunteers will complete a background check.
You will receive lesson plans ahead of time for teaching Bible studies. You will receive periodic training on mentoring youth and will have the support of the Youth Director to empower you in engaging in Youth ministry.

Edmond- Children’s Ministry Volunteers - Edmond Campus
Volunteers are building and teaching the Christian foundation, making it fun for our children. This will bless the lives of these children for years to come. As a volunteer, you will be caring for children in our Nursery area (infants to 4 years old), teaching a small lesson and craft for school-age children (Pre-Kindergarten to 5th grade), greeting parents, soothing/holding, changing diapers, feeding, and making children feel comfortable and loved.
To be a volunteer, all you need is an active mind and body, ready to play and have fun with our children. You do NOT need to be a biblical scholar. You simply need to love God and have a desire to help children grow in their faith. You’ll complete a background check prior to your first shift.
You will be able to follow and shadow an active volunteer to become familiar with the duties. Lessons and crafts are prepared ahead of time for each group so you are not responsible for coming up with a lesson. The Campus Director of Children’s Ministry will be available to provide support as needed.
