We enjoyed a wonderful visit with the folks at the retirement home St. Luke’s church today and we’re delighted that one of the ladies who is 91 was back for her first time since she broke her leg.
Several of the people told their life stories and it was good to see familiar faces and new friends. We sang and prayed together. Then we had a lovely last lunch together at the church and again were cared for by our sisters in Christ. It was a very emotional time as we laughed and cried togetherness sharing our Impressions of our visit and the people. We gave them the blessing from Numbers 6- may the Lord bless you and keep you, may He make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. May he lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.
The group then went to a historical school. Building to see how teachers and students worked in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s
We head now for Moscow on the train where we will be met by snow tomorrow.
