The team gathered at 6:30 am at the OKC airport with mixed emotions about the upcoming trip. Surprisingly we breezed through check-in and security, well as much as one can on Spring break. We all made it to the gate with plenty of time and were eagerly awaiting our flight to Dallas to begin our day of traveling. Within minutes of arriving at the gate we realized that this was not going to go as smoothly as check-in and security. After roughly six delays and a very clearly missing our connecting flight to Honduras, we boarded our flight to Dallas knowing that we would not be making in to our destination. Moods were kept high as we all experienced the first rule of missions: Be Flexible. As we finally arrived in Dallas around 1pm, the airline made sure we were re-booked on the only flight out Sunday and gave us meal vouchers for lunch and breakfast with hotel rooms for the night. As we all accepted we would not be getting our checked luggage and would be wearing our clothes for a second day of travel.
