Bible Point: Show Jesus’ love in our families
Key Verse: A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. – John 13:3
Jesus wants us to show love to all our family members (Genesis 37:1-11). Strengthen your family’s faith learning and growth at home with this easy idea:
1. Discuss a television show or movie you’ve watched recently as a family that portrays family relationships in a positive way. Talk with your family about what you can learn from this movie or show. Maybe family members made a point of encouraging one another, or maybe the kids helped each other by doing the other person’s chores.
2. Discuss areas where you all want to improve in showing love to one another as a family.
PRAYER
Thank you, God, for our family. Increase the love every one of us has for each other while our faith grows more and more. In Jesus’ name, amen.
