“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” -Ephesians 2:10

Each of us has special gifts that allow us to serve and bless others. Some have the gift of hospitality, while others generously give of their time and resources to make a difference in the lives of the people around them. When we work to align our gifts and our passion, we find that is also where God’s grace intersects and allows us to become the blessing we were created to be.

Mitch Hutchcraft is a 31-year-old who has found a way to use his passion to support those in need. Mitch is a former Royal Marine from England. He loves the outdoors, adventure, and challenging himself through difficult workouts. Although Mitch has had to undergo knee reconstruction, he has not allowed it to slow him down. Mitch runs, rides bikes, rows, swims, and more.

Recently, Mitch Hutchcraft accomplished a significant journey. Mitch was able to climb Mt. Everest. That is not a simple climb. Less than 7,300 people have successfully climbed Everest in modern history. Mitch is now one of them. Mitch also added to the journey by starting his ascent in England.

That is right, he started in England, where he first swam the English Channel. Mitch then rode his bike 7,400 miles across Europe to Digha, India. After completing his bike ride, Mitch ran 599 miles to Kathmandu, Nepal. Mitch would then hike to the Everest basecamp, another 223 miles. All of this before he successfully made the climb.

Mitch’s remarkable accomplishments are being filmed over the 8 months it is taking him to complete his goals. There is no doubt this film will help encourage others. His journey is called “Project Limitless.” There is no doubt that he will inspire others to work hard. More importantly, Mitch is also using this journey to help raise money to provide mental health support for veterans. His passion and his gifts have come together to inspire and support others.

God has created each of us to make a difference. We each have gifts that are intended to help serve our neighbors. Through God’s grace, we can use our time, talents, and passions to bless others and bring hope to the world.
