I love riding in the car by myself singing at the top of my lungs. Thank goodness no one is in there with me. I can’t carry a tune in a bucket. I remember riding in the car when I first learned how to drive. I had an AM radio and an 8-track tape player. Some of you don’t even know what that is but it was cool back in the day.  I had no air conditioner so my windows were down and my music was blaring for all to hear. I’m glad I have air conditioner in my mom car and my widows roll up today.

My favorite song right now is “Good, Good Father by Chris Tomlin.  I first heard it in a worship service and it just resonated with me. Now, when I hear it on the radio, I turn up the volume. The words are so simple but, so true for everyone. The chorus of the song goes like this:

You’re a Good, Good Father
It’s who You are, it’s who
You are, it’s who You are
And I’m loved by You
It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am

It’s so simple to forget the one thing that defines our life is the love we have from our heavenly Father. Yes, I a wife, mother, sister, friend, and co-worker and these things are truly important. However, the one relationship that truly defines me is that God is Love and I am loved by Him.

The end of the song says this:
Oh, it’s love so undeniable
I, I can hardly speak
Peace so unexplainable
I, I can hardly think
As you call me deeper still
Into love, love, love

So simple, but oh, how quickly I forget. I’m glad we have songs on the radio, on iTunes or in worship that remind us of this one thing, we are loved by God.
