I think it is fascinating how people come into our lives at different stages. I love meeting people and establishing new friendships. Sometimes these friendships are temporary due to life situation changes and adjustments. Then there are those special relationships that last a lifetime, no matter the distance or other obstacles that could hinder these connections.
I love it when I, or people I know, meet someone for the first time. While there may not be an “instant connection,” over time it is discovered that there are similar interests and things in common. Suddenly that not-so-good first impression evolves into a lifelong experience of making some great memories.
I cherish my many dear friends and I delight in bringing people together and engaging in new and old interactions. Being with our friends should be a regular occurrence, but the Christmas season is a golden time for relationships to flourish.
As we enter the season of Advent, we must be reminded of our most important Friend who came in to this world to bring us hope, peace, joy, protection, and numerous blessings we often take for granted. This special and everlasting Friend is Christ. He never leaves our side and loves us regardless of when we falter or
show neglect.
This Christmas, when you gather with friends and family, please hold a special place at the head of the table for the best Friend you’ll ever have in your life. And make sure everyone gets acquainted with the One who brings the best gift you will ever receive – the gift of Peace Everlasting.
