No one knows the millstone that hangs around another person’s neck. “Everybody’s got something,” in the words of Robin Roberts. We can’t begin to imagine the sadness and troubles that any one person carries around. There are seven billion people in the world and not one of them has the same trials! Even in the same circumstances, the challenges feel different for every person. Everyone heals at a different rate and in different ways.
This is why it is so important to share the grace, mercy and the love of Christ. You may see someone and think, I can’t believe they can’t handle that, it’s just a little thing. Well, it may not be a little thing to that person. When we see someone, who is dealing with sadness, poor health, money troubles, or issues with their children and grandchildren, we must remember these concerns are immediate and perhaps overwhelming to them.
Only God knows the entire story. We have faith that God is with us in every minute of every day. Our faith guides us to believe that God will give us the strength to make it through this minute, then this minute, and the next minute, until we have made it through another day filled with blessings. You may not get the miracle you ask for, but you can be guaranteed you will see a million other miracles if you just watch for them. Thank you for showing mercy and grace to each person in your life. Our kindness is a great blessing to those who are struggling.
