Early Monday morning, our team of 12 joined a few local church members to continue our various tasks. God has blessed our team with lots of talent to knock out different works. From the tops of the walls to the base boards, no inch went untouched.
A much needed break, our lunch was paired with a devotional lead by two members on the team. We discussed Jesus washing the disciples’ feet and how we can “wash the feet” with the community in Wasilla and back in Oklahoma.
What’s hard work without a little fun! We took a quick break to check out the famous Iditarod Museum. Did you know the “Father of the Iditarod Race” is a fellow Okie?? Yeah, we didn’t either!
We return to the church revived and laughed our way through a few more buckets of paint. The sun may still be up but we sure are ready to catch a few “Zzz.”
“Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.” John 13:14
