The last few days in Toronto were wonderful and beautiful! Thursday was our last day with the children of Urban Promise. In the morning we welcomed them in and had a great time of worship. The skit about Daniel and the Lion’s Den was performed so well by our students. Then they divided into small groups for the Word-Up for the day. After lunch we played games and then had a talent show! There was lots of dancing! The kids were so excited about the encouragement they received from others from going on stage. There were also children that were selected for the People’s Choice awards for going above and beyond in being helpful, kind, and encouraging. After the children left, we had a big job of cleaning up the church. Our group was always willing to help out and do whatever was needed and the job was done well! Thursday evening, we fixed tacos for dinner and then had a debriefing time with Peter, one of the main staff people at Urban Promise. It was great to share our stories and experiences together.
