For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  – Romans 8:38-39

Who do you turn to in difficult times? Who do you trust? Can you lean into the saving grace of God? Music speaks to my soul and often it’s how I experience God’s grace.

Several years ago, I had the privilege of hearing Kayley Williamson sing the contemporary song: He Never Failed Me Yet. As she sang, it became one of “those moments” when I just knew that God was present. In that moment, it became clear to me that God was sending a beautiful reminder that no matter what circumstances I have faced or will face, God is faithful.

I can trust, even in times of doubt, that God is faithful, because I know nothing separates me from the love of God. I know I can trust God is faithful and God’s saving grace will be enough for anything we face. I know that to be true.

Take time to listen to this song today and may the lyrics speak to you during this season of Lent. Here are just a few from the song:

I will sing of God’s mercy. Every day, every hour. He gives me power.
Didn’t my God deliver Moses from King Pharaoh?
And didn’t He cool the fiery furnace for Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego?
When I think of what my God can do.
He delivered Daniel. I know He will deliver you.
I will sing and give thanks to Thee for all the dangers, toils and snares that He has brought me out.
He is my God and I’ll serve Him. He never failed me,
He never failed me Yet. He never failed me, He never failed me Yet.

Remember, it is through the saving grace of God we can trust in His faithfulness to see us through anything.  Lean into that!

Are there songs or hymns that remind you of God’s grace, and are you called to do something?
