Life can just be crazy sometimes. It seems there is a never ending list of “to do’s” and we keep adding to our list faster than we can check things off. The laundry and dishes pile up at home while the workload at the office just seems to grow. We get to the end of a long week and come home on a Friday ready to relax over the weekend only to be confronted with the realities of harsh news on the TV, more weekend activities to attend and a Facebook timeline filled with white noise.
Today, we’re changing all of that. It’s time for us to pause, center ourselves once again in our Creator, and find rest. It’s Casual Friday.
Each week we are going to talk about things going on in our world, things that relate to faith, and things that just relate to everyday life. In the midst of everything else happening around us, we are going to take time to look for hope in the world. We are going to look for signs of resurrection and life. We are going to look for opportunities to grow and learn more about who God is calling us to be. We are going to look for ways we can share love and kindness with others. We are going to take a moment to learn more about each other. Finally, we are going to have some fun! After all, it is Casual Friday.
