MEMBERSHIP AT ST. LUKE’S
Membership at St. Luke’s represents a commitment to sharing Christ’s love with others, growing in faith, and serving the community. There are three vows taken at the time of membership.
The Holy Trinity
Affirm the vows taken at the time of your baptism, acknowledging your belief in God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
Commitment
Commit to serve the Methodist Church with your prayers, presence, gifts, and service.
Sharing the Message
Promise to live out your witness in such a way that you will seek to Share God’s Love and Bring Hope to the World.
Membership FAQs
- How can I become a member of St. Luke’s?
Baptism is a requirement for membership at St. Luke’s. After baptism, you will take the vows of membership.
There is an opportunity to join the church each Sunday at the end of worship services.
For information on other ways to join can you do any of the following:

- Will I need to be baptized?
If you have already been baptized, you will not need to be re-baptized in order to join St. Luke’s. As Methodists, we believe that God is in all churches, and thus we celebrate God’s gift of grace for you through baptism—no matter when or where it happened for you. If you have not yet been baptized, we would love to be a part of that special ceremony for you! Baptisms can take place during worship or in a private setting. - How can I transfer my membership from another Methodist Church?
Once you join the church by taking your vows of membership, we will complete your transfer paperwork for you.
- How can I transfer my membership from a church of a different denomination?
To transfer your membership, you will take the same vows of membership. A letter will be sent to your previous church notifying them of your new status.
