Bible Point: God wants us to do what’s right

No matter what the circumstances, God wants us to choose to do what’s right (Genesis 37:12-36). Strengthen your family’s faith learning and growth at home with this easy idea:
1. Discuss a time when a family member did what was right even though it was unpopular or there was great pressure to do otherwise. Maybe your son chose to ignore peer pressure and made friends with someone who wasn’t part of the “in” crowd. Or maybe your daughter stood up to a coach who was asking her to play in an unsportsmanlike manner. Why did he or she do it, and what happened?
2. Then talk about any upcoming difficult decisions each family member might be facing. Encourage each other in doing the right thing.
