Let’s shower our young parents at Emerson South with love and support. St. Luke’s will be kicking off our new ministry, Empowering Young Parents, by hosting a Baby Shower to collect much-needed baby supplies. It’s Saturday, August 17, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Asbury Campus. This is a come-and-go event with refreshments, games, etc. All guests are asked to bring a baby item as a donation, such as: diapers and bags, baby clothes (up to 3 years old), bottles, baby wipes, pacifiers, blankets, onesies, socks, baby wash, baby lotion, diaper rash ointment, teething rings, sippie cups, formula, diaper genies, bouncie seats, etc.

Life Line Screening, a leading provider of community-based, preventive health screenings, will offer their affordable, non-invasive, and painless health screenings at St. Luke’s Asbury on September 7. Five screenings will be offered that scan for potential health problems related to: blocked arteries (a leading cause of stroke), hardening of leg arteries (a strong predictor of heart disease), irregular heart beat, bone density, and more. Join us for Asbury Movie Night on Friday, September 27 at 7 p.m. We are going to be watching, “Same Kind of Different as Me.” It’s the story of an international art dealer who must befriend a homeless man in order to save his struggling marriage. Everyone is invited to bring a snack to share.

Roll up your sleeves to work around the Asbury Campus to prepare for new Ending Hunger OKC ministries. We will deep clean the kitchen, paint, and work around the campus on Saturday, September 28 from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please bring work gloves, paint rollers, brushes, as well as any lawn tools for outside cleanup. The Asbury Campus is located at 1320 SW 38th Street in Oklahoma City.Learn More and Volunteer

Everyone is invited to a Potluck Lunch following worship in Fellowship Hall. We will enjoy a delicious meal and hear an update on all church activities. Please bring a dish to share with everyone. A signup sheet will be in the Foyer, please sign up for the dish you would like to bring.
You’re invited to one of the sweetest events of the year at St. Luke’s Asbury Campus – the Fall Festival of Treats! Children will be “Trunk or Treating,” receiving candy from decorated vehicles parking lot on Saturday, October 26. from 4-5 p.m.
We need “Trunks” for the Fall Festival of Treats! Can you decorate your car in a Halloween theme and hand out candy to “trunk-or-treaters?” You will bring so much joy to children as they travel from trunk to trunk in the St. Luke’s Asbury parking lot on Saturday, October 26, from 4-5 p.m. Invite your family and friends for fun and fellowship. St. Luke’s Asbury will be hosting Needlework Nights this Fall! If you love to knit, crochet, sew, embroider, or any other type of needlework, come on Tuesday evenings at 6 p.m. – beginning September 10 – for an evening of fellowship as we work on charity projects. We will meet in the Parlor. You are welcome to bring a snack to share.
