Youth Camps, Mission Trips & Retreats
Overview

Our Youth have several wonderful opportunities to experience their faith among friends through camps, missions trips, and retreats throughout the year.

Upcoming Dates:

Spring Break Mission Trips:

  • Middle School Mission Trip (Dallas, TX) March 15-18: Middle School students (6th-8th grade) can join in on a great trip to Dallas!  The cost of the trip is $250 and students can earn up to $100 in Mission Bucks towards the cost of the trip.  The focus of the trip is doing service projects in the area, but the group will also have fun at Group Dynamix and Six Flags!  The cost of the trip will include all food, travel, lodging, service projects, and fun events.  A $100 deposit is due by February 2 with the final balance due in March.  Participants must also register online by February 2 to secure a spot.

  • High School Mission Trip (Baton Rouge, LA): High School students (9th-12th grade) can join in on a great trip to Baton Rouge, Louisiana!  The cost of the trip is $500 and students can earn up to $200 in Mission Bucks.  Our mission focus is Revive 225, a service ministry of First UMC in Baton Rouge.  We will be driving and the trip will include travel, food, lodging, mission opportunities, and a day of fun in New Orleans and a swamp tour.  A $150 deposit is due by February 2 with the final balance due in March.  Participants must also register online by Feb. 2 to secure a spot.

Summer Camps 2020:
Summer Camp registrations are $250 per camp. You can also purchase the Summer Pass to get a week of camp PLUS access to all the other fun Youth events this summer.

  • Disciple Camp (Middle School Students) – June 4 -7, 2020
  • Youth Force Ardmore (7th-12th grade) – June 14-19, 2020
  • Dayspring (High School Students) – July 20-24, 2020

Youth Sunday School
Overview

Downtown Sunday Morning

Youth Classes – 9:40 a.m.
Sunday School gathering for all students 6th – 12th grade begins at 9:40 a.m., then we break into middle school and high school classes. This is an important learning time where we teach on topics and Scripture that are meaningful and relevant to helping students grow in their faith and knowledge of the Bible to share God’s love in their lives.

Confirmation classes January 26 – April 5 on Sunday mornings from 9:40 – 11:45 a.m.

Youth Worship – 10:50 a.m.
Youth are encouraged to attend worship together as a youth group or with their family during the 10:50 worship service. They can also serve in Children’s Ministry or Hospitality.

Edmond Sunday Morning

Youth Worship – 9:15 or 11 a.m.
Youth Sunday School at the Edmond campus begins at 9:15 and 11 a.m. for all 6th-12th grade students. It is a gathering time for students to connect with each other, hear God’s word and play games. This is an important learning time where we teach on topics and Scripture that are meaningful and relevant to helping students grow in their faith and knowledge of the Bible to share God’s love in their lives. Students are encouraged to attend worship during the worship service opposite of their chosen Sunday School hour.

Confirmation classes for Edmond Campus youth will be held January 26 – April 5 from 3 – 5 p.m.

Youth Fellowship
Overview

Downtown Youth Fellowship

We have many additional youth events including fun outings, big events, service projects, games, and fellowship time. The focus for these events is to connect and deepen relationships with each other, with the church, and with God.

During the school year, we meet regularly after church from 12:15-2:30 p.m. for lunch, games, and devotion. About once a month this time includes a service project or fun outing.

Edmond Youth Fellowship

Youth Sunday Nights meet at the Edmond Campus from 5-7 p.m. For more information about Edmond Campus Youth activities, contact Sarah Cohea at scohea@stlukesokc.org.

Youth Wednesday Nights
Overview

Downtown Wednesday Nights

Dinner is served from 5:15-6:15pm in the CLC. Worship & LYFE groups meet Wednesday nights from 6:15-7:30 p.m. during our Wednesday Night Alive sessions in the fall and spring. This time begins with a modern worship service followed by small groups divided by age and gender.

Edmond Wednesday Nights

Dinner is served from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Worship Center. Youth Bible Study is from 6:30-7:30pm for middle school and high school groups and is a time to grow together, digging deeper into the word of God and how it applies to your life.  For more information about Thrive Edmond, contact Sarah Cohea.
