Poteet Theatre Arts Education’s mission includes bringing youth from the Oklahoma City metro area together to learn about theatre, with the focus on building self-esteem and confidence, working as a team, and fostering a positive, encouraging spirit of community and friendship. Participants come together in an environment that is uplifting and supportive, where they receive first-rate performance training. Workshops, classes, private lessons, and productions have reached hundreds of Oklahoma children, teens, and families.
We believe that PTAE is unique and very, very special. We care about families! Our program attracts an amazing combination of ethnic and economic backgrounds. Our teachers are top notch, not only accredited and experienced in their fields, but also willing to go the extra mile to help their students succeed. Our class sizes are limited, allowing plenty of student/teacher interaction. We work hard to help each student find the special gifts within themselves, and to learn to bring those gifts to light through the magic of the performing arts.
