About Us
The Poteet Theatre is a growing and highly active organization at St. Luke's and in the greater Oklahoma City arts community. We offer five main stage productions each year. The theatre has won competitions on a national level, performed in Europe, and been honored by many national and local organizations. The theatre is conveniently located in the basement of St. Luke's. Both individual and season tickets are available.
Awards and Affiliations
Outstanding Production Awards at the Oklahoma Community Theatre Association’s Festival of Plays went to the highly dramatic and intellectual “Hannah and Martin” by Kate Fodor and the poignant musical “John & Jen” by Andrew Lippa and Tom Greenwald.
“John & Jen” used beautiful melodies to show the complexities of family life against a backdrop of America between the 1950s and 1990s. It was presented by Poteet Theatre in Oklahoma City and was directed by Sara Phoenix. It also was the favorite of the audience members, winning the Standing Ovation award.
Acting Awards for outstanding performances went to Brandon Adams and Jennifer Teel ( “John & Jen”)
A special musical award for Outstanding Orchestral Performance went to Laura Ragon and Andrew Himes for Poteet’s “John & Jen.”
Outstanding Design Awards were: Overall Design, Poteet’s “John & Jen.”
