For men who are striving to balance these roles, grow in their faith, and actively seek God’s will, you are invited to engage in our weekly faith group, serve in a mission capacity, and mentor others. About this ministry

The bell choir is for high school students and adults college-age and older. The group rings in the 8:30 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. traditional worship services once a month. Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 7:45 – 8:45 p.m.

Cantate View Ministry Page
About this ministry

Cantate is a small ensemble for adults college-age and older. The group sings for the 8:30 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. traditional services once a month and in special concerts. Rehearsals are every other Wednesday from 5:45 – 6:30 p.m. and one Saturday a month from 10 a.m. to noon.

Chancel Choir View Ministry Page

Chancel Choir is for high school students and adults college-age and older. The choir sings every Sunday at the 10:50 a.m. traditional service and at the Annual Conference and special concerts. Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 6:30 – 8 p.m.

The Poteet Theatre is a growing and highly active organization at St. Luke’s and in the greater Oklahoma City arts community. The theatre offers five main stage productions each year. The theatre has won competitions on a national level, performed in Europe, and been honored by many national and local organizations. Poteet Theatre is conveniently located in the basement of St. Luke’s. Both individual and season tickets are available.

At St. Luke’s, you can experience God through the beauty of music. If you’ve been thinking about learning music, this is your chance to do something for the first time! The new “St. Luke’s Academy” is offering music lessons and classes for adults and children (ages 6 and up). They can enroll with a qualified private teacher for weekly lessons or group classes.

Symphony Orchestra
About this ministry

The Symphony Orchestra plays in worship on designated Sundays from September through June and for the Annual Christmas Concert. Rehearsals are scheduled prior to a performance.

Children and Youth

The children learn about God through biblically based lessons that show God’s love. The lessons include visuals, music, worship, and various play activities that help each child learn to share God’s love, grow in faith, and serve God and others. Children’s programming is offered during each worship service, Wednesday Night Alive, Vacation Bible School, and much more throughout the year.

St. Luke’s has four children’s centers located in Oklahoma City and Edmond. Quality childcare has been provided since 1969.

The purpose of St. Luke’s Children’s Center is to provide a creative learning experience for children in a Christian environment. The center seeks to provide an atmosphere in which children can grow to their fullest potential spiritually, socially, mentally, physically, and emotionally, and to support parents as they provide the same atmosphere at home. A child’s growth, emotional, and mental well-being is best promoted by teachers who love, teach, and care for children in a way that demonstrates God’s love and care.

The class is based on the book “Rebuilding After Your Relationship Ends” by Dr. Bruce Fisher and is taught by Steve DeQuevedo, a licensed counselor, mediator, and national trainer in conflict resolution. He has many years of experience in helping people understand blocks that stand in the way of loving, fulfilling relationships and has success in showing others how to attract healthier partners. Steve has taught this class for over ten years, encouraging others as they cope and grow following the end of a relationship, divorce, or death of a loved one.

St. Luke's @ Home View Ministry Page
About this ministry

St. Luke’s @ Home is a ministry to congregation members who are confined to home, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes. Ministry volunteers make visits once each month and/or send notes and cards to congregation members at home.
